The Infested Sound returns with a new videocast. Jeff and Phil grace our presence by drinking some beer and reviewing Neil Marshall’s latest offering: The Descent. The guys lament the fact that AMC has discontinued its infamous 3 for $5 snack deal. C’est la vie bitches. At first, I wasn’t sure if the fellows actually liked The Descent but, in the end, they give it a positive review. The one thing that the show has been missing lately is Conservative Cletus. I really think that he needs to make a return at some point.
They also introduce a new segment called Amateur Hour in the hopes of introducing the audience to amateur horror films. In this first segment, they screen a spoof of 1950’s sci-fi films called: Attack of the Flesh-Eating Subterranean Bog-Monster from the Center of the Earth and Beyond the Moon: Apocalyptic Revenge!. It’s about 7 minutes long and it’s terrible. I would much rather see some of Jeff’s short films in the future. He has shown one of his films on a previous videocast and it showed the talent of a promising filmmaker. This bog -monster thing did not.
