To be honest I have never really considered myself a huge fan of the slasher movie, preferring other types of horror movies. Serial Killers, Slashers, Giallos and tales of murder are not high on my list of favourites amongst genre film. Having seen the documentary it did remind me just what a large impact these kinds of films had on popular and schoolyard culture when I was a kid, so I am now going to get hold of the book.

Have you read the book? It's well worth looking at if you're a fan of the genre.

I've seen the documentary, Going To Pieces: The Rise and Fall of The Slasher Film and its well worth catching, a lot of effort has been put into it and its been done with real affection for the genre. I really hope fans make the effort to support a great piece of original genre related programming.
